Glacier Flightsee and Ice Climb

Two hours of hiking and ice climbing on the rugged terrain of the Mendenhall Glacier. Upon landing, your guide teaches the basics of glacier travel and then leads your group on an exploration of the most pristine and remote areas of the glacier.
If you’re looking for the adventure of a lifetime, this is for you. Designed for beginners and seasoned adventurers alike, this will be one of your favorite memories.
Throughout the tour, your guide will share glaciological insights, natural history, and climbing tips while ensuring safety and fun.
Opportunities abound for adventure photos, as you are introduced to and practice basic climbing and rope techniques enabling you to safely climb and descend ice walls.
No experience necessary, but the amount of walking is extensive and often on rugged, steep and icy terrain. You must be in good physical condition and have an open mind for adventure.
Requirements
- Good physical shape and able to walk/climb for 2 hours on uneven, moderately steep and icy terrain.
- Minimum age 12.
- Selfie sticks, ipads and drones are not allowed for safety reasons.

Trip Activities: Flightseeing, glacier nature walk on a glacier
Duration: 3.25 hours including transportation and safety briefing.
Tour Operator Provides: Outer gear (rain coat, pants, etc.), hiking and ice climbing equipment, safety briefing, and storage lockers at the base for your purses, backpacks, etc.
You Bring: Sunscreen, sunglasses, and refillable water bottles
